MCP/NAV
The MCP (Mode Control Panel) is the main link between the pilot and FMS (FLIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) and allow the pilot to manage the aircraft vertical and lateral paths automatically.
This was first piece with which I started the 767 project! The MCP structure (430Wx300Lx75H) is made of 12/10 metal sheet painted with Brown Boeing color. Inside contain:
-
1 Master Card
-
2 Display Card
-
1 "MCP/NAV Board Interface" (made myself) for direct wiring by IDC flat cable, to Master Card and Display Card
-
1 PWM circuit for dimming the backlight (integrated on my Board Interface)
This is all necessary for the full operation of MCP included the 2 Radio NAV/VOR and MIP "light test". Whole MCP/NAV is fully backlight by "white warm" LED (3V-3,2V) that give a pretty effect (like bulbs) very close to real; the PCB's are easy connected by a plug two pole.
At now I'm working on "V/S wheel" device as well as the BOX for both Radio NAV and "Desengage Bar" to complete finally my MCP/Glare module. More shots as soon....
